"Med Schools Worry About Medicare Cuts In Debt Ceiling Talks"

Debt ceiling negotiations could cut millions from graduate medical education programs that fund residency slots for medical students, and medical deans across the country are speaking out. Ironically, the cuts could come just as the Affordable Care Act brings “millions more patients into the health care system” and the nation is already experiencing a shortage of physicians.
