HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that the federal government would be awarding $28.8 million to 67 community health center programs across the country. One of the clinics — Housing Works, Inc (NY, NY) — has specific competence in serving the health needs of the LGBT community. According to its website, the organization is focused on ending the “dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts.”
