Florida will be accepting $1.26 million in ACA money “to bolster efforts to report and combat infectious diseases” since, as Gov. Rick Scott’s (R) communication director told Politico Pro, the money is funding “existing programs.” The decision comes after the reform-phobic state accepted abstinence funding and may be considering taking money to prevent child abuse and neglect.
