Andrea Mitchell Diagnosed With Breast Cancer | Moments ago, longtime NBC News reporter Andrea Mitchell announced that she was diagnosed with breast cancer over the summer. Mitchell’s doctors discovered the cancer during her annual checkup, catching the disease in its earliest stage. Mitchell reported that she faces a “terrific prognosis” and urged women across the country to screen for the condition. “This disease can be completely curable if you find it in the right time,” she said.
