"Florida Is Actually Not A Good Place To Retire"

A new scorecard released by the AARP yesterday “indicates that Florida’s elderly and disabled residents would be best off moving to Minnesota, Washington or Oregon, based on measurements of the quality and availability of help for people who need long-term care.” Florida ranked 35th for health affordability, 37th for choice, 44th for quality, and 41st in caregiver support. Once the nation’s oldest state, Florida is getting younger and has “dropped three places to become the fifth-oldest state in the nation, according to census data.”
