Ohio Senators Return Teddy Bears From Anti-Abortion Lobby

ThinkProgress reported last week that backers of Ohio’s radical “heartbeat” bill lobbied Ohio senators to pass the legislation by having children deliver teddy bears with heartbeats to their offices. The bill, which passed the Ohio House last year, would outlaw abortions as soon as a fetal heartbeat can be detected — sometimes as early as six weeks into pregnancy.
