POLL: Swing-State Voters Trust Obama Over Romney On Medicare |
A new USA Today/Gallup poll finds that voters in twelve swing states — Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin — trust President Obama’s plan for the future of the Medicare program more than they trust Mitt Romney’s plan. Gallup notes that poll was conducted before Romney’s infamous “47 percent” comments. Voters in battleground states prefer Obama’s approach to Medicare over Romney’s by 50 to 44 percent, and Obama has a similar edge among the voters surveyed nationally:
