Boehner Says House Won’t Appeal Bankruptcy DOMA Case | House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) will not appeal a decision last week by a federal bankruptcy court that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional. A spokesman for Boehner said that it would be prohibitively expensive to defend DOMA in every case, and the Speaker is not concerned that a case about bankruptcy would ever make it to the Supreme Court.
