North Carolina GOP Nearly Repeals ‘Racial Justice Act’ | North Carolina’s Racial Justice Act permits death row inmates to challenge their sentence on the grounds that it was motivated in part by their race. A bill to repeal the law passed the state house, and came one vote shy of passing the GOP-controlled senate.
