Utah Immigration Law Will Likely Remain Suspended For At Least The Next Several Months

A federal judge hearing a challenge to Utah’s immigration law announced yesterday that he will delay his final decision until after the Supreme Court rules on Arizona’s anti-immigrant SB 1070 law. Because the judge temporarily blocked the law pending an opportunity to fully review it, this means that the law will likely not take effect until at least late June, when the Supreme Court is likely to decide the Arizona case.
