Luis Gutierrez told his House colleagues today that it can be hard to keep track of the rapidly growing population. “Especially if you want to offend each and every one of us,” he said, “But to Mitt Romney’s credit — he’s trying.” Romney has staked out the most extreme immigration position of the Republican presidential contenders, and he called Arizona’s harmful SB 1070 a “model” for the rest of the nation.
