- The Senate confirmed Judge Timothy S. Hillman to a federal court in Massachusetts yesterday, with Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) reprising his role as the loan senator who votes against everyone.
- The gambling industry spent $2 million pumping up Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), who has made expanding gambling in New York a key policy priority.
- The Supreme Court warded off an attempt to use the Constitution’s guarantee of Equal Protection to restrict municipal lawmakers’ ability to set their own tax policy.
