The House Committee on Ethics unanimously reprimanded Rep. Laura Richardson (D-CA) for “improperly using House resources for campaign, personal, and nonofficial purposes,” “requiring or compelling her official staff to perform campaign work,” and “obstructing the investigation of the Committee.” Richardson agreed to pay a $10,000 fine for these violations of both federal law and the House Code of Official Conduct.
