- Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed that she fell and cracked two ribs at the peak of the Supreme Court’s workload last June.
- A so-called “sovereign citizen” in New York is under arrest after he faxed a letter to a bank that refused to cancel his home loan claiming that he would invoke his Second Amendment right to “the use of deadly force to protect my interests as a national citizen.” Needless to say, no such right exists.
- A Michigan appeals court appears unlikely to embrace an argument by the state legislature’s Democratic minority seeking to prevent the Republican majority from bypassing a state constitutional requirement that laws which take immediate effect require a 2/3s supermajority.
- Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) filed a brief in the Fourth Circuit attacking a Maryland gun regulation. Once again, Cuccinelli is the Attorney General of Virginia, not Maryland.
- Texas GOP senate candidate Ted Cruz will address the Republican National Convention. No word yet on whether he will use this platform to warn the nation about George Soros’ global United Nations conspiracy to end the game of golf.
