- The Minnesota Supreme Court rejected a challenge to a voter ID ballot initiative in that state, which claimed that the ballot language is misleading to voters.
- New York State Sen. Daniel Squadron (D) asks his fellow state lawmakers to voluntarily disclose whether ALEC writes their legislation, since ALEC will not register as a lobbying organization.
- Grand Rapids, Michigan announced it will cease enforcement of an anti-panhandling law that was struck down by a federal court, although it did not rule out appealing that decision.
