Former Elections Judge Turned Away From Florida Polling Site

Marta Orlowski served as an elections judge in Pennsylvania before moving to her current home in Florida. She also mailed her registration to vote in Florida on October 9, the last possible day to register for this election, and made sure she could prove this fact by obtaining a receipt from the post office. Nevertheless, a poll worker turned her away when she arrived to vote, claiming that her county’s election supervisor marked her down as having registered too late. Orlowski eventually spoke to the Florida Secretary of State’s office, and was told she may cast a provisional ballot.
