According to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, 57 percent of Americans support a reforms that would allow undocumented immigrants remain in the U.S. legally if they pay a fine or “meet other requirements” for a path to legal status. Thirty-nine percent would oppose the idea. President Obama has repeatedly said that he will work to reform the nation’s immigration system during his second term. After a meeting with a group of progressive leaders on Tuesday, one source told the Huffington Post that Obama was “crystal clear” that he wanted to get immigration reform done in 2013.
