- Suspended Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Orie Melvin claims she is immune to seven criminal charges, including “theft of services, criminal conspiracy, official oppression and misapplication of entrusted property” because she allegedly committed them while working as a judge.
- A federal court in Connecticut is expected to order the company HealthBridge to allow nearly 600 striking workers to return to their jobs until an administrative law judge decides whether they were illegally denied pay and benefits.
- Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s new memoir reveals that she never had children in large part because she was afraid she might die due to her diabetes.
- The Supreme Court appointed Harvard Law Professor Vicki Jackson to argue that House Republicans are not allowed to bring the Defense of Marriage Case to the Court.
- And, finally, a federal judge halted release of a film called “Age of Hobbits,” citing fears it may be confused with a different, similarly named film.
