Connecticut Becomes 15th State To Protect Transgender People | Via Towleroad: Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy (D) has signed legislation adding gender identity to the state’s non-discrimination law. Connecticut is now the 15th state “to specifically protect transgender people.” A number of Republican Senators had tried to amend the bill to reinforce transphobic stigma, but the Senate passed a clean bill.
