Obama To Address LGBT Rights Group On October 1

President Obama will deliver the keynote address at the Human Rights Campaign’s 15th Annual National Dinner on Saturday, October 1, in Washington, D.C, the group announced today. The speech will build on the administration’s ongoing efforts to court the LGBT vote ahead of Obama’s re-election. The president last spoke to at the HRC event in 2009, when he famously pledged to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, which was finally lifted yesterday. Watch the president’s 2009 speech here.
