South Carolina Episcopalians Threaten To Break Off From National Church Over Inclusion Of Gays | The South Carolina Episcopal diocese is threatening to break off from the national Episcopal Church over its policies of ordaining gay bishops and sanctioning same-sex unions. The South Carolina bishop accused the national church of preaching a “false gospel of indiscriminate inclusivity … that has suffocated the mission of the Church.”

Meanwhile, the head of the Episcopal Church in Scotland is supporting the country’s push for marriage equality.
