Century 21 Fires Troy, Michigan Mayor For Anti-Gay Comments | The newly elected mayor of Troy, Michigan, Janice Daniels, came under fire last week when the blog Keep Troy Strong found a Facebook comment she’d left condemning New York “queers” for marrying. Daniels has apologized for the remarks, but her employer, Century 21 realty, has now fired her because “the owner stated that he can have no one in his company, either employee or independent contractor, who would be capable of such insensitivity to the LGBT community, or to anyone for that matter.”
