Russian Religious Leaders Justify Anti-Gay Bills: At Least We’re Not Suggesting That Gays Should Be Shot!

Orthodox Christian leaders in the Russian region of Novosibirsk are following in the footsteps of Ryazan, Kostroma and Arkhangelsk and are petitioning lawmakers to prohibit the dissemination of so-called “gay propaganda” among minors. “We do not collect signatures in order to shoot them if they want to be like this, let them live, but we should not impose a minority to the majority world” the head of the region’s Orthodox Center explained. Russian authorities are considering similar legislation in St. Petersburg and other regions.
