Idaho Senate Committee Kills LGBT Protections Without Comment

This morning the Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee voted 7-2 to reject a bill that would have added non-discrimination protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity to the Idaho Human Rights Act. Activists had called on legislators to “Add The Words,” but they voted to not even print the bill, which meant there was no opportunity to hear testimony. Because there was not even any debate, the bill died without any spoken support except from its sponsor.
