A local Iowa paper devoted its entire front page to stopping bullying following the death of Kenneth Weishuhn Jr, a 14-year-old high school student who committed suicide after friends teased him for being gay. The Sioux City Journal’s front-page opinion piece calls on the community to stop bullying and notes that while many students are targeted for being gay, “we have learned a bully needs no reason to strike.”
