Though authorities in St. Petersburg, Russia, rescinded authorization for a Pride parade, several activists still attempted to hold rallies this Saturday. Eight were arrested for protesting against the city’s law prohibiting the spread of “homosexual propaganda.” They have been detained for two days and are due in court today.
