"British Polls Show Changing Public Perceptions On LGBT Issues"

A new poll from Angus Reid Public Opinion shows strong support among Britons for LGBT rights, with 46 percent saying same-sex couples should be allowed to marry and an additional 33 percent supporting civil partnerships. Disturbingly, however, 25 percent believe that people choose to be homosexual. In a separate study by the UK’s Culture, Media, and Sport Committee, 25 percent of soccer fans believe that the sport is homophobic, with 14 percent reporting hearing homophobic abuse at a recent match.
