As the campaigns for equality continue in the four states facing a marriage question, new polls in Minnesota and Washington suggest reason to be hopeful. According to a new Public Policy Polling poll, Minnesota’s proposed constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage is now losing for the first time, with 46 percent supporting it compared to 49 percent opposed. Meanwhile, Referendum 74 to affirm marriage equality in Washington is leading by a 55-40 percent margin, according to a new SurveyUSA poll.
