Pennsylvania Legislator Introduces Ex-Gay Therapy Ban For Minors

In the wake of California’s new law banning licensed therapists from offering harmful “ex-gay” therapy to minors, a Pennsylvania legislator has introduced a similar bill in the Keystone State. State Rep. Babette Josephs (D-Philadelphia), in announcing the bill, correctly noted that “homosexuality is not a disorder, so attempts to ‘convert’ the sexual orientation of anyone, particularly a minor, threatens the individual’s short- and long-term health and well-being.” A state assemblyman in New Jersey announced a similar effort in his state last month.
