POLL: Majority In Hawaii Continues To Support Marriage Equality

Aloha Welcome to Hawaii

A new QMark poll shows that Hawaii voters support marriage equality by a 23 point margin, with 54 percent expressing favor and only 31 percent standing opposed. Polls have found similar results in the past, though by narrower margins, such as January’s 55-37 result.

Despite support among lawmakers, marriage equality legislation did not come up for a vote this year as was expected. Unfortunately, there was not two-thirds support available to call a special session this summer, so the legislation will not be considered again until 2014.
