UPDATE: The Note’s response to our post, and our subsequent response, is here.

According to recent polling, the overwhelming majority of Americans are interested in the outcome of the Dubai ports deal:

Seventy-two percent (72%) of Americans say they have been following news about the Dubai Ports deal somewhat or very closely.

The same can’t be said for some major American media outlets. The authors of ABC’s The Note today shared their complete lack of interest in the story:

Port security:
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

(If you expected The Note to report on the meaning of the flap, the delay, the brouhaha, the whole thing “” you expected wrong. Wake us when it’s over.)

Obviously they have more important things to cover. Also from today’s edition: “Well-defined: Googling monkeys; Gang of 500; the sleep habits of Mike Allen.”
