David Safavian, the senior Bush administration official accused of covering up assistance he provided to disgraced GOP lobbyist Jack Abramoff, has been convicted “on four counts of obstruction and making false statements.”
The Iraq war has added caused cases of post-traumatic stress disorder among veterans from previous wars. “Figures from the Department of Veterans Affairs show that PTSD disability-compensation cases have nearly doubled since 2000, to an all-time high of more than 260,000.
