Christy Goldfuss is the Public Lands Project Director at American Progress. Prior to working for American Progress, she was a legislative staffer for the House Committee on Natural Resources, where she focused on policies and legislation affecting the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. She first started working on lands issues as the federal preservation advocate for Environment America. As a television reporter in California and Nevada, however, Christy covered many stories from communities neighboring public lands. Through telling those stories, she became interested in lands policies. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science at Brown University.
