Feulner’s Filibuster Foolishness

Ed Feulner, President of the Heritage Foundation, strongly implies that those who oppose a handful of President Bush’s judicial nominees are racist, sexist and godless. In his most recent column arguing for the elimination of the judicial filibuster, Fuelner notes:

Almost all [the nominees who haven't been confirmed] are minorities, women or people with orthodox religious beliefs…

Feulner then goes on to lament “the over-politicization of the judicial-nominations process.” There is no way to have a reasonable process for nominees, however, if people like Fuelner insist that any disagreement is evidence of a severe character flaw.
