Cranston, RI mayor and U.S. Senate candidate Stephen P. Laffey, defending his homophobic “satirical” college writings. In one column, Laffey wrote, “I have never once seen a happy homosexual. … [T]he homosexuals I’ve seen are sickly and decrepit, their eyes devoid of life.”
