Sam Fox, a major financier of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, has officially taken office as the new American ambassador to Belgium “after submitting his credentials to King Albert II.” President Bush installed Fox in the position, without Senate confirmation, in April. According to Vice President Cheney, the Senate was “Stalinist” for opposing Fox.
