Yesterday, Daniel P. Beard, the chief administrative officer of the House of Representatives, received a subpoena “for e-mails related to the ongoing criminal investigation of Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA).” “Doolittle and six members of his staff were subpoenaed by the same grand jury last month.” Notification of Beard’s subpoena was read on the House floor yesterday. Watch it:
According to the Politico, “Doolittle’s office directed questions about the most recent subpoena to his lawyer, David G. Barger,” who “could not immediately be reached for comment.”
