On the CBS Early Show this morning, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney inexplicably claimed that Americans only want change “in Washington,” but not “in the White House”:
Well, you know, I think the race in Iowa was really a very clear call that people want change in Washington, not in the White House, in Washington.

A recent NYT/CBS News poll makes clear that voters specifically want to change what’s going on in the White House. Only 28 percent approve of the way Bush is handling his job. Just 26 percent approve of Bush’s handling of foreign policy and his handling of the economy.
