VoteVets’ Brandon Friedman writes that the company that provided over 2 million substandard Kevlar helmets to U.S. troops was also awarded one of three U.S. government contracts to provide armor for the new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs). Earlier this month, the military contractor — Sioux Manufacturing — agreed to pay a $2 million fine for producing bad helmets.
