Rove confronted with ‘Free Don Siegelman’ banner.

No, you won’t be buying one for your home for a long, long, long time

Yesterday, blogger Alan Breslauer met Karl Rove before Rove was set to give a speech in Los Angeles. During the encounter, Breslauer unrolled a banner reading “Free Don Siegelman” which Rove reluctantly agreed to hold. Watch it:

Siegelman, a former Democratic governor of Alabama, was convicted in 2006 for conspiracy, bribery, and fraud. Siegelman’s prosecution was allegedly a politically motivated campaign orchestrated by Rove. 60 Minutes recently ran a story linking Rove to the case, but it was blacked out it parts of Alabama. A local CBS affiliate has since re-aired the segment.
