In today’s Washington Post, one reader writes in and objects to the fact that President Bush has been given the honor of throwing the first ceremonial pitch at tomorrow’s Washington Nationals game:
Why is President Bush, and not an Iraq war veteran, throwing out the first pitch at Nationals Park [Sports, March 28]?
The veteran is far more deserving of the first-pitch honor than the president is.
