Today’s Interior Department inspector general (IG) report reveals that government employees at the Denver Minerals Management Service — who are responsible for “handling billions of dollars in oil royalties” — expressed a desire to be a part of the oil industry’s “culture.” This included attending social events with oil representatives, who joked about having relations with the government employees.
