As ThinkProgress reported today, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson suggested during today’s hearing that Congress had misunderstood his bailout plan in thinking he had opposed oversight. Disregarding the plan’s clear language indicating that the Secretary’s actions were to be “non-reviewable,” Paulson insisted over and over during today’s hearing that he “wanted” and “welcomed” oversight.
