In 1984, Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign released an ad that began, “It’s morning again in America.” “It featured a montage of images of Americans going to work and a calm, optimistic narration that suggested the improvements to the U.S. economy since his 1980 election were due to Reagan’s policies.” A new web video produced by Hyphenate Films, entitled “It’s raining in America,” connotes the opposite feeling — distraught and laid off workers struggling in the Bush economy.
