Streisand and Bush exchange an ‘awkward kiss.’

Yesterday, six accomplished artists received the Kennedy Center Honors of 2008. One of those individuals was Barbara Streisand, an outspoken liberal who has declared that Republicans stole the 2000 election and claimed that President Bush is “an alien sent here to destroy the Earth.” Yesterday, however, Bush and Streisand made nice, even exchanging an “awkward kiss.” Attendees later laughed when the smooch was replayed on a video at the gala. Streisand admitted that it would have been “lovely” if she could have received the award when Barack Obama was in office.
