After a rough year in which she was heavily criticized for calling for McCarthyite investigations into liberal members of Congress, the Hill reports that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) may be trying to tone down for 2009. However, she has made clear that her lips still aren’t bipartisan. At the 2007 State of the Union address, she famously gripped onto President Bush’s shoulder until he leaned in and gave her a kiss. But when asked if she would also kiss President-elect Obama, she replied, “Will I be sitting in the well? Probably not.”
