In March, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said that President Obama is “somewhat more analytical” than President Bush. In an interview with Katie Couric for “60 Minutes,” Gates said, “That’s something I wish I hadn’t said.” But when asked to describe the two presidents, he seemed to reaffirm the dichotomy, again suggesting that Obama is more analytical than Bush:
COURIC: What three words would you use to describe President Bush?
GATES: Committed, questioning, eager to make a decision and move on.
COURIC: What about President Obama?GATES: Deliberative, decisive and calm.
