In a vote just moments ago, Sen. John Thune’s (R-SD) “concealed carry” gun amendment failed to receive the 60 votes it needed to pass. The vote was 58-39. The AP calls it “a rare win for gun control advocates.”

Michelle Malkin reports that GOP Sens. Lugar and Voinovich voted “nay.”
