New York Times Profiles Rep. Walter Jones, Anti-War Republican | In a profile of anti-war Republican Rep. Water Jones (R-NC), the New York Times notes that he is “no longer his party’s pariah” and that he is slowly shaping a larger conservative anti-war movement. Jones, who at first voted to authorize the Iraq war, said that his faith helped turn him against the wars: “I did not vote my conscience and I sent kids to die, and they didn’t have to go. I thank God that he made me feel guilty about my vote on Iraq.”
