Rep. Trent Franks Opposes Boehner Debt Ceiling Proposal

The National Journal confirms that Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) opposes the debt ceiling proposal that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) put together and will vote no. He is the 24th Republican to publicly oppose the bill. Because Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) will not be voting due to his health condition, Boehner needs 216 Republicans to support the measure. At this point, he cannot lose anymore Republicans, or if he does, he would need to pick up Democratic votes.
